About Us

"As students ourselves, we understand the pressure of balancing school, sport, work, and everyday life 📚. That’s why we set out to create a healthier, more mindful alternative that supports focus without the crash." Designed to support calm focus and balanced energy, Fuzion combines functional ingredients like L-theanine and Vitamin C for the focus benefits without the high sugar or excessive caffeine found in many drinks. Our powder-based format is also sustainable! ♻️ A powder blend reduces freight, packaging waste, and provides a longer shelf life compared to bottled liquid drinks. Our packaging is also made out of biodegradable natural kraft paper! 🌏

Our Journey

Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) 2026

We’re a student-led team taking part in the 2026 Young Enterprise Scheme, a nationwide business competition held across New Zealand. As part of the programme, we create, develop, and run our own business from designing our product and building our brand all ourselves. Starting with roughly $2000 capital of our own self-funded savings, we turned Fuzion from an idea into a real product through creativity, teamwork, and determination. Through this journey competing in the Young Enterprise Scheme, we’re gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership.

Meet the Ingredient Behind Calm and Focus 🧠🍃

Fuzion’s wellness drink powder features L-Theanine as its star ingredient, but what exactly is it?

L-Theanine is a naturally occurring amino acid commonly found in green tea leaves. L-Theanine works by increasing alpha brain wave activity and supporting neurotransmitters such as GABA, serotonin, and dopamine (chemicals linked to mood, relaxation, and concentration). In simple terms, it helps reduce stress, improve focus, and support a calmer state of mind. Many people describe the feeling as “relaxed alertness” feeling more focused and productive. 💻

Our brand was created around the idea of supporting calm focus, balanced energy, and healthier lifestyles for busy young people navigating school, work, sport, and everyday pressures. 📚⚡🍃 That’s why we’re proud to donate 5% of our profits to Youthline, ❤️🇳🇿 helping support young people across New Zealand and contributing to a future where mental wellbeing is better supported and openly prioritised.

About Youthline

OUR PRODUCTION JOURNEY 16th March

We started by developing prototypes and formulations in our school kitchens, experimenting with flavours and ingredients while learning what makes a functional drink effective and enjoyable. We received guidance from food chemists and industry professionals who helped us refine our recipe.

VALIDATION 17th - 25th March

We validated our prototypes with business coaches at Spark Tank and interviewing shoppers at Botany Town Centre. Through MANY sampling, and taste testing, (along with help from friends and family!) We refined our product from 10 original flavour ideas down to 4, before finally selecting our top 2 flavours Lime and Blackcurrant based on customer feedback and overall preference.

FINALISING RECIPE 26th March

After completing our validation and taste testing process, we sent our prototypes to food chemists for professional insight and feedback. Their guidance helped us ensure the product aligned with supplemented food standards. Following this stage, we finalised our recipe and made the finishing touches — including enhancing the colour of our blackcurrant blend to better match its bold taste and branding.

PRODUCTION 17th May

Our team hired a certified commercial kitchen to complete the production and packaging of Fuzion. Over the course of five hours, we carefully measured, packed, and sealed more than 300 pouches by hand. To maintain high food safety and hygiene standards, all team members wore gloves, masks, and hairnets throughout the production process. Every pouch also underwent a quality control check before being heat sealed to ensure consistency, accuracy, and presentation across every product.

MARKETING DESIGN AND PHOTOGRAPHY 18th May

To bring the Fuzion brand to life, we had a photographer capture visually appealing photos. We then used Adobe design software to edit and create engaging content for our social media and marketing platforms.

Are your ingredients safe?

Yes! All dosages are within legal limits following the NZ Supplemented Food Standards. We ONLY use natural fruit flavouring and natural stevia sweetener.

I have dietary requirements is Fuzion inclusive?

Yes! Fuzion is Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan, Halal, No Added Sugars, and Low Calories. You can find the full nutritional and dietary information on the back of our packaging.

How long does the product last?

Our powder format has a long shelf life. While it stays safe to consume (1-2 Years), the flavour strength and effectiveness of Vitamin C and L-theanine may decrease over time.

Is Fuzion sustainable?

Yes! A dry powder blend reduces freight, water weight and has longer shelf life compared to liquid drinks. Our Kraft paper packaging is also biodegradable and eco - friendly.

Is Fuzion made in New Zealand?

Yes! We worked with Pacific Flavours, a 100% New Zealand-owned ingredient supplier and their Food Technologists when formulating our recipe and product development process.

When should I consume Fuzion, and how much?

We recommend 1 serving of Fuzion per day, in the morning before school, work, or training to help you start your day focused and refreshed. However it is safe to consume any time.

How long will shipping take?

Currently, we only ship nationwide across New Zealand. Orders typically arrive within 3–5 working days, depending on your location and courier demand.

Who can consume Fuzion?

Following the New Zealand supplemented food standard 2016, we do not recommend Fuzion for children under 14 years old or pregnant individuals.
